5Excellent Replacement Model
By Joseph. P
I bought these back in the middle of July due to my previous headlights being heavily oxidized. I bought these for around $100 and I must say it was a wonderful deal. The company that created these did an excellent job at replicating the look of the stock "Limited" headlight design. Once I had these installed I went for a test drive that same night and could actually see the light beam's projected onto the road, Big difference between this light and my old one. I installed an HID kit a month later and (yes I know, HID's benefit from being in projector headlights) But if you know anything about headlights, as long as they are properly aimed you shouldn't have a problem with drivers flashing you.

This headlight spreads the light surprisingly well for a reflector optic. This assembly in combination my HID are so bright that when driving through fog, I can actually see the light beam piercing through (Which is quite wonderful looking). To sum it up, If you're looki ng for a replacement for an oxidized or "clouded" headlight or would like to upgrade the look of your Jeep from the ugly stock "Laredo" headlight I wouldn't definitely recommend this product for the value.

The only hard part about installation is trying to get your old assembly out. It requires some tug and pull.

2Looks great, but function is not right
By Tom M.
Based on the first few reviews I read here, I decided to purchase these for our 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee (WJ) Laredo. After all, you can't beat the price especially when considering the bulbs are all included, along with the wiring harness.

When I opened the box, they looked fantastic, a far cry from the severely clouded over set on the Jeep. Installing them was super easy. One 7mm screw on each headlight assembly is all it takes to remove and then grasping the headlight (or using a small pry bar) and pulling each one from the three ball sockets that hold it in is all there is to it. However, with just this amount of dis-assembly, I could not easily get to the plug for the wiring harness. So, I used the existing harness and swapped all of the bulbs over from the one that came with the new lights. Literally popped in the new lights, installed that one screw and I was done (except for adjusting). Again, looked fantastic and made the Jeep look great too.

The problem arose once it got dark. As two other reviewers have noted, the light emitting from each headlight is scattered into individual segments with a three of four large areas of shadows in-between. These shadows extend out quite a distance into the path. I couldn't quite figure it out. I looked at the original lights and they look very nearly identical. But the light output, while bright where there is light, is very disturbing. My wife has driven it in the dark a couple of times now, and we're going to see if we can get adjusted to it. But so far, very distracting.

With the hi-beams on, it is much better as they wash away the shadows. But that's not quite an acceptable solution.

I am now looking into the optional fog lamps, seeing as I've always wanted to install them anyway. That may resolve this issue, and would be acceptable. But will significantly add to the overall cost of this upgrade!

UPDATE 2-7-2012: Well, the headlamps were just plain unacceptable and downright dangerous to use after dark, even though they looked fabulous after dark. I communicated this to the seller, and sent photos of the issue. Seller was extremely helpful and talked with manufacturer about the issue. Ended up the seller sent me a new pair in a different brand (Eagle Eye) that looked just as nice as these, but once installed and checked out after dark, were what I would have expected. Nice, clear and bright with no shadowing effect.

Based on other reviews here, it's a small chance (3 so far) that you'll see this defect, but the seller will do you no wrong. I'd like to give one star to the headlamps, and 5 stars for the seller.

5I can see again!!!
By alldrew77
My 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo's headlights had gotten so clouded over, that I could hardly see at all at night. I tried buying the products that you could put on that were supposed "magically" clean the headlights, but it didn't work at all. A friend even told me to try toothpaste, and all that did was get my headlights smelling minty fresh...but I could see no better at night.

So I decided to purchase these headlights, and what a great decision! Installation was a breeze thanks to a youtube video. The difference is night and day (no pun intended). I can finally see at night again, and the front of my Jeep looks so much nicer without the ugly yellowed headlights. If you have a Laredo, don't worry about whether or not the Limited headlights fit. They fit perfectly into my Laredo without any issues at all.
