Aftermarket Headlight Housings

I was quoted a heart-stopping price of $796 for two genuine Hyundai headlight housings for my 2004 Elantra GT. I found these on the Internet for about $120 for the pair and just couldn't pass them up.

They look great and fit very well. On the downside: The low-beam scatter pattern is somewhat less precise than the original Hyundai parts and there are a couple of shadows in the light field. With virtually no adjustment available (same with the originals), I am trying to get used to the light not projecting out quite as far ahead of the car as I would like.

Despite these points, they are well worth the price and the incredible savings over OEM parts. If you need new housings, I would definitely recommend these. They came ready to drop in place and mine included all new bulbs.

My dad cried!

My dad is 65 years old and bought his 2004 Hyundai Elantra GT new. He still drives and loves the car and has said it will be the last car he ever owns. Well, as with any car, the headlights have started to fog and that has significantly limited his ability to go out at night or even in bad weather. He has tried every trick from cooking spray to those kits where you buff stuff on your lights. Each has had varying levels of success but he has to go through it so often that it becomes a pain. He never would buy the lights due to cost. This year, he got them for his birthday, and he cried. A grown man cried over headlights! He couldn't believe we had found such affordable OE replacements and in his own words he "had his full independence back"! Thanks!

Good units - great price

Arrived promptly and in good condition. They were well packed. Removal of the factory units was more trouble than installation of the replacements. Only issue I had was the driver's side turn signal would not work. Upon inspection I found a bit of plastic flash locking back the contactor for the bulb. I trimmed this out of the way with an Exacto knife and it worked fine. Mounting hole alignment was adequate and the units went in with little fiddling. They look as good as the originals. Would have given 5 stars except for the bulb contactor issue which required removal of the assembly again.
