Great item

These rock sliders are great. Super easy to install by your self and they look great and are real sturdy. For this price you cant go wrong. The only down fall was the package it was shipped in was all messed up. One of my rock sliders tabs that goes into the body mount was bent. i just bent it back by using a press, it worked fine. I still gave the product five stars because this could have happened due to the shipping.

Heavy Duty Guards

These are some really nice guards, thick and solid...the only "drawback" is that you have to drill 10 holes in the sheetmetal of your Jeep. I felt terrible drilling the holes...but I like the fact that I can use my Hi-Lift on these and lift the entire side of the Jeep off the ground, plus since they are 3/16" thick, not much is going to be able to damage the sides. If you don't mind poking holes in your truck, get these, you won't be sorry.

Unhappy with product

I purchased this product in Feb 2011 and 2 years later Feb 2013 they are completely rusty. These have a horrible powder coat and don't plan on them lasting long. I now have a 2005 TJ with the only rust on it are these sliders. Now the whole jeep looks like crap because of these rusty things. I would not have cared about drilling the body if these would have lasted. I will also be writing Smitty built so that I can update this post with their response.
